Chris Doering is in his second year working as a panelist for TAILGATE OVERTIME on Sun Sports
and FSN Florida.
While with the network, Doering was also an analyst for several GATOR PREGAMES and
for the BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SPECIAL. In addition to his work with Sun Sports, Doering has been
hosting the ESPN affiliate afternoon radio show, SPORTS FIX, for the past two years.
Doering attended the University of Florida from 1991-1995 and majored in Telecom Broadcasting/ Communications.
Doering was originally a walk-on to the Florida football team. However, he eventually became the starting wide
receiver for the Gators and still holds several SEC and UF records, including most season (17) and career TD
receptions (31).
In his final season, Doering was an All-SEC and All-American selection. In 1996 Doering was
drafted in the 6th round of the NFL. During his 9 seasons in the NFL he played for the Indianapolis Colts,
Denver Broncos, Washington Redskins, and the Pittsburg Steelers.
34-year-old Doering still resides in his hometown of Gainesville, Florida with his wife, Tiffany,
and two children, Taylor and Tyson.
