SUN SCHEDULE GATORS SEMINOLES LIGHTNING HEAT MAGIC PANTHERS MARLINS RAYS FSN SCHEDULE

WILLIAM ALI FLOYD
William Ali Floyd is going into his second season as a college football analyst for TAILGATE OVERTIME on Sun Sports and FSN Florida.

During his five years with Sun Sports, Floyd has also been involved in COLLEGE FOOTBALL with Charles Davis, GRIDIRON GREATS with Keith Jones, and a special feature with the legendary Jerry Rice. Some of Floyd's favorite memories with Sun Sports date back to his time working with Charles Davis who now commentates for TBS.
In the fall of 1990, Floyd began his college career at Florida State University where he helped lead the Seminoles to their first ever National Championship and became arguably the best fullback in the history of the program. As the premier fullback of the 1994 NFL Draft, Floyd was selected with the 28th pick of the 1st round by the San Francisco 49ers. He was nicknamed "Bar None" during a brief contractual holdout during '94 training camp when his agent described him as already being "the best fullback in football-bar none."

Floyd lived up to the tag and earned the respect of his teammates in route to helping San Francisco win a record fifth Super Bowl title. William set a NFL record by becoming the only rookie to ever score three touchdowns in a playoff game (NFC Championship Game San Francisco vs. Chicago '95), and was the only player in the history of the game to win the National Championship and the Super Bowl in back to back years, in his birth state (FSU 1993 / SF 49ers 1994; Miami, Florida).

A native of Jacksonville, Florida Floyd is one of four William A. Floyd's in his family, including his grandfather, father and fourteen-year old son. Floyd now resides in the Bay Hill community of Orlando with his wife Bonita and their three children William, Thai and Jaden. The entire family is very active in Floyd's non-profit 501( c ) 3 community benefit foundation, William Floyd's Bar None Foundation established in October, 1996 in San Francisco, California. Recently Floyd accepted a position as the Public Relations Liaison for Able Body Labor and is actively pursuing his law degree.

Floyd has received many accolades throughout his career but he recognizes winning a National Championship, a Super Bowl, the retiring of his high school jersey and his selection to the Tampa Tribune's 100 Best Athletes of the 21st Century as his greatest career accomplishments.
